Review :
I Liked the Trailer Better
This ridiculous road movie is frantic, predictable (then unpredictable), and sorta funny. Directed by Anne Fletcher ("The Proposal"), we explore the world of drugs and dirty cops, as a bungling police officer tries to protect the widow of a drug dealer. The widow is supposed to testify in court, so our dedicated cop has to keep her alive until the trial.

We see:
* Reese Witherspoon ("Wild") is a copper named Cooper, she's very by-the-book and uptight. Cooper is determined to honor her father's name; he too, was a police officer.
* Sofia Vergara ("Chef") Daniella flounces through this story in a skin-tight dress, stiletto heels and a suitcase on wheels. She is NOT impressed with her police guard so she derides her at every turn for being short, blonde and flat-chested. I am not amused by insult humor.
* John Carroll Lynch (Lots of TV) Captain Emmett is trying to help our heroine get past her latest bungle (her Taser ignited a...
GREAT COMEDY

loved this movie. My friends and I laughed through the whole movie. Reese Witherspoon is so talented. I can't wait for the DVD to come out so I can purchase it.

I GOT SHOTGUN

Cooper (Reese Witherspoon) is a "hyper-focus" policewoman. She is allowed to leave the evidence locker to escort a reluctant high value witness (Sofía Vergara) to Dallas. Circumstances causes their plans to go awry and they become on the run, trying to avoid both criminals and cops who want them dead.

The movie is cute, but not an over powering comedy. The jokes get old fast such as Sofia's age and Witherspoon's height. Sofia wear a shirt which says "Butter my Biscuits" for much of the film while Reese boasts a red dress. They shared a kissing scene and a cat fight because that is what the writers had to stoop to to get laughs. The film had potential as Reese got to use a full southern accent, but the script flopped.

Guide: F-bomb in soundtrack. No sex or nudity.
